Production service

A crew that makes your show look like a show on screen

If your venue has no camera team, we can bring the cameras, the switcher, an encoder and an operator, rehearse with you, and run the stream on the night.

By arrangementScoped and quoted per event. We are building this service alongside the software, so early productions are pilots, and we will tell you who is on your crew before you commit.

What is included

The parts of a multi-camera stream, handled

The exact kit depends on the room and the show. Before we quote, we look at your stage, your sound and lighting, and your internet.

Cameras

Typically two or three camera positions, chosen for your stage. We agree the positions with you in advance.

Switcher and operator

A person cutting between cameras live, so the stream is not one wide shot for two hours.

Encoder and monitoring

The machine that sends your show to Venue Vision, watched on the live health page with alerts to the crew.

Backup uplink

A second path out of the building, such as a bonded cellular unit, and a second ingest key already set up, so one failure does not end the show.

Rehearsal

A full run from your venue, on your network, with the real kit, before show day. We check each quality level on a phone and a laptop.

A named person on call

One producer is reachable for the whole show and makes the call if something has to be switched. You get their name beforehand.

What we need from you

  • An audio feed from your house mixer, so viewers hear the show and not the room
  • A wired internet connection with at least 25 Mbps of free upload for one stream, and about 50 Mbps if we send to two destinations
  • Power near the camera positions and the operator
  • Time on stage for a rehearsal
  • A named contact at the venue for the night
  • Your rights record completed for the show

What is not included

  • Music, script or performance licences. Those are yours to secure; we ask you to complete a rights record.
  • Changes to your lighting. Stage lighting that looks fine to the eye can look flat or noisy on camera, so we may ask for small adjustments.
  • Captioning. You can upload caption files or add a link to a live captioner.

Price

Quoted per event, in writing, before you commit

We are not publishing a price list yet. The cost of a stream depends on camera count, crew size, travel and rehearsal time, and we would rather give you a number that fits your show than a range that fits nobody. Ask for a quote and tell us the date, the venue and how many cameras you imagine.

Ask about production for your show

We will reply with questions about the room and a proposal.
