Acceptable Use and Streaming Content Policy
Draft. This text is a starting draft. It has not been reviewed by an attorney yet and may change. Last edited 2026-10-24.
This policy applies to everyone who uses Venue Vision. It is part of the Terms of Service.
Streams must be licensed
- Stream only what you own or have the right to stream, live and as a replay if you offer one. A licence to perform a play or musical is a separate thing from a licence to stream it. Music needs its own licences.
- Complete the rights and licence record truthfully before you schedule a stream. Keep the licence dates, audience limit, territory and replay terms accurate; we enforce them as far as our tools allow.
- Do not re-broadcast a Venue Vision stream to a free platform (social media, video sites) unless your licence clearly allows it. Doing so can also break the licence for the whole production.
Not allowed
- Content that infringes someone's copyright, trademark or other rights.
- Sexual content involving minors, or any content that endangers a child. We report it to the authorities.
- Harassment, threats, hate, or content meant to incite violence.
- Non-consensual intimate images, doxxing, or showing private information without permission.
- Fraud, fake events, misleading tickets or pricing, or taking payment for something you will not deliver.
- Malware, attempts to break into the service or other people's accounts, or to overload it.
- Selling or using access in ways the ticket does not allow, including sharing codes or links, recording, scraping and re-streaming.
- Using the service to break the law, including sanctions and gambling rules.
Youth and private events
For events with performers under 18 you must hold parent or guardian consent. Wedding and private streams are private by default. Chat is off by default for youth and wedding events. Tell guests when an event is streamed or recorded.
What we may do
We may disable a stream at once, remove content, pause ticket sales, hold payouts through Stripe, or suspend or end an account. We aim to tell the organizer why, unless the law or safety stops us. Repeat copyright infringers lose their accounts. To report a stream, use the copyright page or write to [contact email].
What this policy does not do
We cannot stop someone from pointing a camera at their screen. Limits on devices and a visible watermark are deterrents. They are not a promise that content cannot be copied.
