How it works
From the first event page to the replay
Six steps. For each one: what you do, and what the system does so you do not have to.
In pilot testingThis is the flow as built. We have walked it end to end in tests, and we want to walk it with a real venue.
The steps, in order
-
Set up your organization and connect Stripe
Sign in with a code sent to your email. There are no passwords. Create your organization, accept the terms and connect a Stripe account so payments go to you.
You do
Create the organization, connect Stripe, add staff and roles.
The system does
Hands card entry to Stripe-hosted checkout and keeps your data apart from other organizations.
-
Create the event, shows and tickets
Add a performance or several, pick or draw a seat map, set ticket types and sales windows, add promo codes and decide on donations.
You do
Describe the event, set tiers, publish the page.
The system does
Creates a ticket type for each seat tier, holds accessible seats by your rule, and gives the event a public page you can share.
-
Sell online and at the box office
Buyers pick seats and pay on Stripe. Your box office sells cash and comps from the same inventory.
You do
Share the link, staff the window, answer questions.
The system does
Holds seats during checkout, emails signed tickets, runs the waitlist when something sells out, and issues receipts for donations.
-
Complete the rights record for a stream
If the show will be streamed, record who licenses it, the dates, the music statement, viewer cap and replay terms.
You do
Fill in the record and upload the licence.
The system does
Blocks scheduling until it is complete, can flag it for review, and enforces the terms as people watch.
-
Check people in, then go live
Staff scan tickets at the door. For a stream, paste the stream key into your encoder or ask us for a crew, run the rehearsal, and start at the scheduled time.
You do
Scan, start the encoder, moderate chat, watch the health page.
The system does
Checks each ticket, converts your feed into three qualities, shows the countdown, limits devices per ticket and emails alerts if the feed drops.
-
After the show
End the stream, check the replay, reconcile payouts and export what you need.
You do
Review chat, send thanks, export sales and attendees.
The system does
Offers the replay to ticket holders if your licence allows it, and matches Stripe payouts to orders.
For your audience
What a viewer does
- Buys a ticket, or receives one from you
- Opens the link in the ticket email, on any current browser
- Watches. Quality adapts; chat and captions are available if you turned them on
- Comes back for the replay if there is one
No viewer account is needed.
